If you are not exercising, stretching, drinking enough water and getting periodic adjustments, your "discs," or shock absorbers between your vertebra, can dehydrate and even change shape, leading not only to a loss of height, but also limited range of motion in your spine and other joints.  Over time this becomes Arthritis, or Degenerative Joint Disease.

 

To help understand what a "subluxation" is, I like to keep it very simple, which hopefully makes it more understandable.  The spine is made up of 24 movable blocks called vertebrae.  When these segments get “out of place” or “ get stuck” then the spine becomes unhealthy, muscles react and tighten, and regional nerves go on alert and produce pain.  All these responses occur to protect us, but consequently limit our ability to function, whether it’s in the workplace, on the go, or at home.  By returning the vertebrae to the proper place and restoring their normal movement, the symptoms will go down, meaning less pain.  The sooner your joints are in place, the faster you get back to activies, and the quicker you can enjoy life.  This is the motto of my practice-  Health… Changes…  Life.  It’s that simple.

It is critically important that you maintain these basic disciplines to keep joint health and, ultimately, a healthy lifestyle.  HEALTH... CHANGES... LIFE.

Everything of Value has a price.  There are, in life, certain assets that cannont be replaced.  Time is the one that most often comes to mind- "once it's gone... it's gone."

Another one of the assets is Money.  Just like saving money, small deposits over time can lead to an enjoyable retirement.  If you wait until your Silver Anniversary to begin saving, retirement will be a fantasy.

Finally, Health is much the same way.  You can buy it and once it is gone, it's almost impossible to recover.

In most cases, a biomechanical issue involving your joints, muscles, nerves, and ligaments are a massive contributor.  This condition is the chiropractic realm is known as a "subluxation." In many cases, the problem is a joint that is "out of alignment" and an "adjustment" is the solution.  Of course, this is an over simplification, but we can get into greater detail when you come in for a consultation and treatment.

 

After 32 years of Practice, I have literally become an expert.  The adjustments that I offer are  gentle, specific and effective. Chiropractic care is natural and wonderful, it really is.  In most cases, it can help you feel better right away, and without many of the drugs that most people rely upon and without surgery.

Decrease Stress, Choose Happiness, Take time to relax, Stop watching the news

Aerobic and Weight training: 3-5 times per week, Stretching: daily, and Deep Breathing

     Oxygen:  From 35-60 years of age, your oxygen uptake decreases 35%.

4. Sleep and Recovery

Sleep 7-8 hours per night- Heals and repairs injuries and Boosts the Immune System.

 5. Nutrition

The body is designed for raw foods: nuts, grains, fruits, vegetables & a protein source.

Water:  Idea... Consider giving up Alcohol and Soda, you may just end up feeling better!!

 

Remember, once you lose your health it is difficult to regain.  Health is about taking care of your body for the long term.  It's hard work, and requires discipline, but you are worth it!
